Runnymede Borough Council has secured £23,000 to tackle the plague of chewing gum.

The funding will see pavements cleaned of the sticky stuff.

Runnymede is one of 50 councils receiving financial support through the national Chewing Gum Task Force scheme.

The project aims to create cleaner streets and reduce gum litter through targeted cleaning and awareness.
