The site in the ancient part of the town centre served as a burial ground for All Saint’s Church in the first half of the 19th century.

It includes the grave of was hero, Lieutenant Josiah Clues, who served in the Battle of Waterloo.

The gardens are the location for Kingston’s annual Remembrance events.

The grounds have been cleaned and re-landscaped.
