St George’s Hospital in Tooting says its ageing building was not designed for the extreme heat.

Bosses say the weather is putting extra pressure on the site, but teams are working to keep patients and visitors comfortable.

This includes providing extra drinking water and prioritising air-con for the most vulnerable patients.

We’re being asked to take extra care of ourselves to prevent increasing demand during the busy period.
