More than 200 people attended a sustainability event in Richmond to explore “The Fixery,” a new community repair and reuse space.

The event, in Grove Gardens Chapel, showed ways to fix, reuse and borrow everyday items instead of throwing them away or buying new.

Volunteers repaired items like toasters, clothes and an old sewing machine, and ran swaps and eco-friendly stalls.

The Fixery will keep running workshops to help people cut waste and live more sustainably.
