Firefighters were called to a mid-terraced house on Collingwood Road just before 8:30pm on Saturday.
The blaze damaged part of the ground floor and destroyed garden waste.
Two people left the property before crews arrived; there were no reported injuries and the fire’s believed to be accidental.
