The Met Police is setting up a new 100-officer team to deal with hate crime and protect communities across London.

It follows around 80 arrests in recent weeks, including cases linked to racist and antisemitic offences.

Some of the arrests were made in Croydon, alongside other parts of London.

Police say the new team will give a stronger, more visible response to help keep people safe.
