Royal Mail’s reached an agreement with its staff trade union on the rollout of plans to scrap second class letter deliveries on Saturdays.

The agreement with the Wimbledon based Communications Workers Union will see the reforms extended to another 240 delivery offices.

It’s as part of a wider trial.

Under the plans, the firm will change the service to every other weekday.
