Residents were invited by Kingston Council to voice their concerns about the Kingston Road box last week.
It’s after a report last year revealed the box had generated £451,000 in fines in eight months.
At the time, the council said the report had failed to take into account that the junction actually includes two yellow boxes and not one.
Phillip Morgan, a road safety campaigner, claims he was questioned by officers as to why he was at the public event.
He’s now filed a formal complaint against the council.
We’ve contacted Kingston Council for comment.
