His alter ego Ziggy Stardust was originally painted on to the walls of the subway at Tolworth Junction in 2022.
It was done to mark the 50th anniversary of Bowie launching his Ziggy Stardust stage show at the former Toby Jug pub.
But the mural lasted just a year because the underpass was filled in as part of the major A3 junction redesign and housing development.
The new mural will be near the old Toby Jug and A3 Junction roundabout site according to organisers, The Community Brain.
