Team Richmond runners have been awarded medals at a special presentation ceremony.
The recognition followed their outstanding performance in the London Youth Games Cross Country earlier this month.
Councillor Alan Juriansz, Richmond Council’s Lead Member for Sport, was in attendance to officially hand over gold medals to each member of the boys’ team who finished as Male Overall Borough champions. Silver medals were awarded to the girls’ team who were Female Overall Borough runners up.
This rounds off a huge success for Team Richmond, who secured the result against more than 1,500 athletes from all 32 London boroughs.
