People in New Malden are being asked to consider donating a care-box to some of the poorest families in war-torn Ukraine.

Christ Church in Coombe Road has launched its Shoe Box Appeal in aid of charity, Link To Hope.

They send boxes filled with items like toothpaste, scarves, crayons and shampoo in time for Christmas.

Over a million boxes have been sent to different locations across Eastern Europe since the appeal’s launch in 1992.

Anyone who is interested in donating items is being asked to contact Christ Church New Malden.
