Learner drivers are being warned about fake tests and driving lesson offers after a jump in people losing money to the scams.

A learner driver in Croydon was scammed in September after booking a £720 driving test package through a driving school found online.

TSB says it recorded a 211% increase in fraud losses between January and August this year compared to the same months in 2024.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency says it fully investigates reports of any individuals who attempt to circumvent the testing process.
