London Fire Brigade is once again warning of the importance of having smoke alarms fitted following a blaze in Hammersmith.

It’s after they were called to a house in Parfrey Street in the early hours of yesterday.

Three people escaped after a man smelled smoke, but the fire destroyed the ground-floor flat.

LFB says the blaze, caused by unsafe disposal of smoking materials, highlights the need for smoke alarms in every home.
