A new state-of-the-art MRI scanner is to be installed at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith.

The machine is coming as part of an £115 million Imperial College Healthcare estate investment plan for this year and next.

But it is not expected to be operational until early next year with outpatient MRI scans taking place in a mobile unit in the meantime.
