People in Richmond will soon be able to charge their electric vehicles direct from the pavement outside their homes.

Footway channels are to be installed following a successful trial.

These are discreet gullies which cut across pavements allowing safe cable routing from properties to kerbside parked EVs.

Richmond Council will be among the first authorities in the UK to make this type of home charging available to residents.
