Police are reporting an increase in Lexus vehicle thefts in Sutton.

They say thieves appear to be tampering near the headlights in an attempt to steal the high-value cars.

Drivers are being urged to consider using a sturdy steering lock or an approved immobiliser and keep vehicles in a garage if possible.

Officers are reminding residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
