Thousands of drivers in London are apparently paying fines which shouldn’t have been issued in the first place.

The AA’s looked at recent rulings by the city’s Tribunals’ traffic adjudicators.

At least six councils, including Lambeth and Croydon, have handed out £130 bills based on restrictions and cameras which have out of date paperwork.

The government says local authorities must ensure their Traffic Management Orders are up to date.
