A transport minister has shared his experience of near ‘sea sickness’ when on Hammersmith Bridge.

Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill said that driving a bus over the wobbly bridge in traffic made him feel ill.

Residents have continued to express their frustration over continued failure to reopen the famous bridge due to issues with infrastructure.

He also added that “the bridge was designed and built for horse-drawn traffic, it has never been particularly strong.”
