People in Wandsworth are being asked to consider a refugee when doing their Christmas shopping.
The borough’s Mayor is issuing an appeal to residents to purchase Amazon gift cards and email them to the Council.
The authority will distribute them and any surplus donations will be given to charities in the borough supporting refugees.
Wandsworth officially gained its “Borough of Sanctuary” status in May.
