Councillors say they want to see the reinstatement of off-peak services on the Hounslow Loop to four trains per hour.

It’s after the government announced that South Western Railway will be one of the first train companies to be nationalised.

Labour run Hounslow council says the move is a good one.

But councillors say they want to see a return to pre Covid pandemic service levels which include the Hounslow Loop.

They say significant growth in leisure trips on the SWR network since Covid-19 highlights the need for greater off-peak frequency.

Councillors also want to see plans for making Kew Bridge Station fully accessible progress quickly.
