Women and young people in Hounslow are being encouraged to take up a career in cycling.

Hounslow Council is offering twelve places to train as a cycle mechanic to people aged 16 and 25.

The lucky trainees will be able to kick-start their career with skills and qualifications to work in professional cycle repair shops.

The council says it wants to promote green skills and well-paid jobs.
