A woman has admitted murdering a woman whose body parts were found in various locations across Croydon.

38-year-old Sarah Mayhew was last seen in Sutton on the evening of the 8th of March.

Some of her remains were found in Rowdown Field in New Addington in April.

More were discovered in the River Wandle in Mitcham in May.

49 year old Gemma Watts has today pleaded guilty to murder as well as perverting the course of justice.

Her partner, 45 year old Steven Sansom, from Sutton, admitted murder and perverting the course of justice at a previous hearing.

The couple will be sentenced in January.
