Environment secretary and MP for Streatham and Croydon North Steve Reed says reform is needed to clean up Britain’s rivers, lakes and seas.

It comes as he announces plans for an independent review of the water industry.

There’s been mounting anger over polluted waterways and crumbling infrastructure – struggling to cope under a growing population as well as climate change.

The review’s been ordered by the UK and Welsh government.

Abolishing the regulator Ofwat is among the options being considered.
