AFC Wimbledon have had to postpone Saturday’s home League Two match with Accrington, as an alternative venue can’t be found.

Their stadium was flooded earlier this week, badly damaging the pitch, the museum and offices.

It forced last night’s EFL Cup third round tie with Newcastle to be postponed and switched to St James’ Park next week.

Wimbledon had asked other clubs if they’d lend them their stadium for a match.

The club’s supporters have smashed a £50,000 fundraising target to repair the pitch at Plough Lane.
