Croydon’s Mayor is calling for the Holiday Activities and Food programme to be extended next year.

Jason Perry has expressed his concern that it may be disbanded in a letter to the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson.

The HAF programme provides families receiving benefits-related free school meals with access to free activities and a hot healthy meal.

But the programme’s current round of funding is due to end in March.
