A man from Croydon has been jailed after trying to evade arrest by providing officers with a fake name.
Serial offender Taymullah Wilson, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, ammunition and drug supply at Croydon Crown Court last month.
The 26-year-old was convicted and sentenced to a seven- year jail term.
DI Ray Sekalongo of Specialist Crime South said he hopes the conviction ‘sends out a strong message’ against the use of firearms.
