Parents are asked to remind their children to stay aware of their surroundings and keep any valuables out of sight.
The Met’s advises school children who are the victims of robbery, to call 999 on a friend or trusted adult’s phone.
They say immediately reporting the crime gives police the opportunity to catch the suspects and recover stolen items.
