Surrey County Council has launched a new campaign encouraging people to reduce their food waste.

The six-week campaign will provide guidance and tips on how residents can reduce their food waste and save themselves money.

The Surrey Environment Partnership are urging residents to only buy what’s needed, check how best to store food and use up leftovers.

Running until mid-October, it will also save the council in disposal costs, money that can be spent on other essential local services.
