Victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal, whose convictions have been quashed, can now apply to a new compensation scheme.

Those eligible can accept a fixed settlement of £600,000, or they can choose a full claim assessment route instead.

Seema Misra was a pregnant sub postmistress in West Byfleet when she was wrongly jailed after being prosecuted by the Post Office.

The Business Secretary says he hopes the Horizon Convictions Redress Scheme might bring “some relief to postmasters”.
