MP Monica Harding has been patrolling the Thames with a Kingston-based charity that helps ensure the safety of river users.

The MP for Esher & Walton, joined Kingston Maritime Volunteer Service yesterday, and took the helm of their patrol boat Blue Light.

She later emailed the team to say thank you for letting her “have a go” and thanked them for all the hard work they do for the community.

Surrey and Kingston MVS has two boats patrolling the Thames between Molesey Lock and Kingston from Spring to late Autumn.
