The accreditation recognises the work the council has done to welcome and support refugees coming to the area.
The authority has recently taken in populations of displaced Afghans, Syrians, Hong Kongers, and Ukrainians.
Over 650 households have welcomed Ukrainians into their homes with over 1,000 arriving in the borough since March 2022.
