A man from Thornton Heath is beginning a 14-year jail sentence after being convicted of conspiring with intent to supply class A drugs.
32 wraps of heroin were found concealed in Muhammad Asad’s tracksuit bottoms when officers spotted him acting suspiciously in a supermarket car park in Redhill.
Asad, who’s 21, said he thought the drugs were sweets and told police he’d been charging his phone in a car he didn’t own.
The offences took place last December. He was sentenced yesterday at Guildford Crown Court.
