Kingston Hospital is to make changes to its maternity department based on feedback given during an event last week.

Over 40 people attended the gathering called Whose Shoes? including midwives, previous patients and neonatal staff.

An idea put forward to introduce a virtual translator for non-English speaking service users has already been confirmed.

Hospital bosses say they wanted to listen to people’s experience of birth at the site, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
