The initiative started in 2022 and bosses say admissions related to drinking have dropped by 55% in that time.
The Alcohol Care Team saw 732 people in 2021, the year before it was set up, and 330 in the year after.
Staff help vulnerable people address their drinking, form a drink diary and help them with access to professionals outside of the hospital .
