More than 700 investigations have begun after nearly 3,000 calls were made to an anti-corruption line set up by the Met police in 18 months.

It was launched after a series of scandals in the force, including the murder of Sarah Everard by PC Wayne Couzens in 2021.

The 33-year-old was kidnapped by then-serving officer where her body was later found in Kent.

From today, the police anti-corruption and abuse reporting service is being rolled out nationally.
