The pilot scheme is being funded by the council in conjunction with a leisure provider.
It will see lessons offered during the school holidays for children who otherwise may be priced out of swimming.
Lessons will be for primary school children in years 5,6 and 7 in receipt of free school meals.
They’ll take place at Balham, Latchmere, Tooting and Putney Leisure Centres.
