The head of the Met Police has been reassuring people in Croydon about a new crime fighting tool being used by officers.

Police arrested 11 people during the latest deployment of Live Facial Recognition Cameras on Friday.

When people pass by them, their images are streamed directly to a database so police officers can make checks against them.

Met Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, says they are searching for specific suspects.
