Epsom & Ewell Borough Council has introduced changes to its grants policy to help more disabled and vulnerable residents receive funding.

Eligibility for assistance has been widened to enable residents to remain independent at home for as long as possible.

Varied adaptions will be made in homes, including fitting level access showers, stairlifts, ramps, and wheelchair accessible extensions.

Cllr Clive Woodbridge said: “Housing that isn’t fit for purpose can have a detrimental impact on vulnerable, older and disabled people.”
