A serving Police officer is due to appear at Croydon Magistrate’s Court today charged with a sexual assault.

PC Daniel Beegan, attached to Specialist Crime, was arrested last March.

He was charged with one count of sexual assault by touching in December.

The offence is alleged to have happened in December 2022 when PC Beegan was off-duty and involved a woman.
