Seven-time Wimbledon Champion Novak Djokovic has had his 43-match unbeaten streak finally come to an end.

The 36-year-old lost in straight sets whilst competing for Serbia in the Brisbane Cup against the home nation’s Alex de Minaur.

The Serb begins his Grand Slam defence of the Australian Open in just 11 days, but he is undergoing treatment for an ongoing wrist issue.

De Minaur, playing in his home country, reached the fourth round in the last two tournaments, and was knocked out by the Serb last year.
