Good news for Wandsworth residents – in 2023 they topped the league for average hourly earnings among London borough.
ONS figures show people on Wandsworth earned £23.26 for every hour they worked.
That’s almost seven pounds an hour more than the £16.56 earned in an average hour in Hounslow, third from bottom of the table.
Five more boroughs in South West London achieved averages of more than 20 pounds an hour; They were Kensington and Chelsea, Richmond, Westminster, Merton and Hammersmith and Fulham.
The median average for the capital as a whole was £18,90 per hour.
