Children attending Franciscan Primary in Tooting are set to benefit from safer journeys to and from school.

It’s after plans were unveiled for a new zebra crossing next to the school gates.

Wandsworth councillors say they “are poised” to approve plans when they meet this week.

They say they want to encourage more families to switch from using their cars on the school run and to walk or cycle instead.
