Billie, an 11-month-old Vizsla, had been impaled in the neck by a large stick.
Officers arrived on the scene and applied pressure to the dog’s neck from which a large amount of blood was gushing.
The lucky dog was swiftly taken to the vets and has since made a full recovery.
