Fulham defender Issa Diop has been released without charge, after being accused of making death threats to his former partner.

The 26-year-old was arrested in France on Sunday evening.

Him and his partner are currently going through a divorce.

According to a French newspaper, Diop says the threats were “not serious”, and a police spokesman says there’s “no case to answer”.
