It was shipped from Ukraine and is now at the Civic Centre, opposite the Prosperity Café, which has been a hub for humanitarian aid.
The café started out as a place serving Ukrainian food, before becoming a centre for donations in the borough.
The ceremony yesterday evening was attended by a representative of the Ukrainian ambassador, the Mayor of Richmond, and a musical act.
