Spelthorne Borough Council is trying to pause the rollout of its Local Plan for three months.

The authority still has no overall control following the recent election, and 22 new councillors have also been elected.

Leader Joanne Sexton says the time will allow the new members to familiarise themselves with the plan.

Spelthorne wants to build 9,000 homes over the next 14 years, with more than half of them to be built in Staines.
