£7,000 is to be spent on removing chewing gum from the streets of Claygate and Molesey.
The grant is coming from the Chewing Gum Task Force, administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The Task Force is funded by major gum manufacturers with an investment of up to £10 million spread nationally over five years.
Keep Britain Tidy says chewing gum is both difficult and expensive to clean up.
