Sutton’s MP says having a majority on the council will help resolve residents’ issues more efficiently.
The Lib Dems retained authority control at the local elections winning 51 seats and gaining 22.
Although Reform won 2 seats, Labour and the Independents lost seats while the Conservatives were left with none.
MP Luke Taylor says day to day running of the council should be smoother.
Critics say the absence of opposition risks weakening scrutiny.
