Radio Jackie has attended the most recent Save Wimbledon Park Public meeting where alternative plans for the land, drawn up by independent architects, were presented.
The revised plans would have fewer courts than the All England Club’s proposed 38.
But, a member of the AELTC also attended the meeting and spoke about why the proposed new plans did not meet their requirements.
They said the location of the show court was too close to residents’ homes, the alternative plans would cause congestion and that they needed more courts for the tournament.
