The Labour leader’s speech to his party conference has been interrupted by a heckler on stage.
Sir Keir Starmer was initially shaken as the demonstrator threw glitter, before security dragged him off the stage.
The 28 year old from Surrey was arrested on suspicion of assault, breach of the peace and causing public nuisance according to Merseyside Police.
The pressure group, ‘People Demand Democracy’, claimed one of its activists was involved, and is calling for a proportional voting system.
